You will be required to operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of your official duties a valid driver's license is required.Selectee will be required to participate in the Direct Deposit Electronics Funds Transfer Program.Meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement for males.Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.Assisting higher graded employees by performing simpler and more routine duties of the following trades: Plumbing, Painting, and Material Handling/Animal Packing.Shoveling snow and ice by hand or with powered equipment and applies sand and/or de-ice compound to sidewalks and entryways.Operating lawn mower, string trimmers, and leaf blowers in the performance of grounds maintenance.Performing operator maintenance and keeps their vehicles clean in compliance with established policies.Loading and unloading the vehicle by hand, sometimes receiving help from other workers, ensuring that the cargo is protected from the weather and that it is properly distributed and secured to prevent damage or loss while in transit.Operating and performing operator maintenance on a variety of vehicles, including cargo vans, sedans, SUVs, and light, and 1-ton pick-up trucks.Cleaning floors by sweeping, washing, mopping and waxing, vacuums and shampoos carpets, dusts, cleans exhibits, LCD monitors and polishes desk and cabinets.Loading and unloading materials and supplies.Handling and processing solid waste and recycling.Incumbent performs custodian duties including cleaning administrative and visitor-use facilities and grounds.
